Sometimes real cycle racing is even better than American Flyers! In third place was Ireland’s Sean Kelly. The World Championships and the Tour of Flanders were the only one-day races in pro cycling that Kelly did not win…he won the Green jersey in the Tour de France four times. That LeMond outsprinted Kelly to win the rainbow jersey makes the victory all the more special.
